Summer Baroque Festival

The programme is complemented by a number of accompanying events – concerts, theatre performances, pilgrimage masses and celebrations, cultural events on the grounds of Baroque monuments and the staging and performance of a Baroque opera. Visitors can listen to Baroque music, join in a night tour of a selected monument, taste Baroque meals or smell the scents so typical of the period. The fireworks display, which looked very different then than today, will certainly be a treat for the eyes.

Are you a beer lover? Then come to the festival of microbreweries Slunce ve skle (Sun in Glass), which has been taking place for several years in mid-September on the premises of the Purkmistr microbrewery at the historic village square in Pilsen suburb of Černice.

Liberation Festival Pilsen

Every year, the City of Pilsen hosts the Liberation Festival, where people from all over the world come to celebrate, together with the inhabitants of the city and military veterans, the liberation of Czechoslovakia by the Allied forces in May 1945.
