The Guardian Angel above Sušice

One of the legends tells about a boy who was picking strawberries in the forest and stepped on a snake. The snake wrapped itself around his leg. The lad was petrified, but soon saw an angel beside him, who smiled and leaned towards him. The snake fell off the boy and disappeared. The boy’s parents are said to have had a picture of the Guardian Angel painted and built a small chapel at the site.
