The Deadlings in Kašperské Hory

The church is connected to a legend about a woman who wandered into the church at night and witnessed the mass celebrated for people who had died long ago. Everyone looked at the old woman with hostile eyes. From the crowd, her deceased goddaughter approached her and whispered to her that she must leave the church reversing and drop her cloak at the gate. The woman obeyed and thus saved herself. In the morning, it is said that people found a piece of her cloak on every grave.
