Hromnice Lake
The Hromnice Lake natural monument near the village of Hromnice, north of Pilsen, will surprise you with its unusual reddish colour. Although it is a natural monument, it was artificially created as a remnant of a slate quarry.
Search for underwater life, taste the mineral spring with the highest carbon dioxide content, discover a lake containing weak sulphuric acid, or touch the largest granite boulders. The Pilsen Region is full of Czech and European ‘best ofs’.
